MEET THE CAST OF The Smell of the Kill


Mary Collie

Mary is originally from Amarillo, TX and holds a BFA in Acting and Directing from Stephen F. Austin State. Most recently, she was seen in Bohème Ensemble’s Stupid F**king Bird and Theater 47’s Imitation of Life. Mary has acted in the Navy Pier’s Winter WonderFest for two seasons and played Marge in the Chicagoland premiere of Pageant Play at Towle Theater. She is also a stand-up comedian and has been featured in seven comedy festivals, including Gilda’s LaughFest. Mary produced the stand-up show, Mary Collie: Lady of the Evening, and the solo show, Are You Gonna Finish That?, at Davenport's Piano Bar. Her short play, Millennial Bears, premiered at the DeMaat Theater in July. She has written for Cornservatory's DRINK!: Sci-Fi Editionand Off the Paddy Wagon. Wendy Hayne

Wendy Is thrilled to be joining this killer cast of ladies in her first performance at Towle.  Locally, she just finished her run as Ellen (u/s) in Theatre at the Center’s production of Over the Tavern.  Other recent credits include Elaine in Last of the Red Hot Lovers (Oil Lamp Theater) and Dr. Alex Gorman in The God Committee (Oil Lamp Theater).  When she’s not acting, you can find Wendy hosting karaoke at various locations around the city of Chicago.  You can follow her on Instagram @wendyhayne.  She would like to say thank you to her family for their constant support, her friends for still always inviting her out, and to her Partner in Crime, Adrian, for putting up with the crazy schedule that is actor life.  Wendy is represented by Chicago Talent Network.

Katherine Wettermann

Katherine is excited to be making her debut with Towle Theater. Favorite credits include Inga in Young Frankenstein, Crystal in Little Shop of Horrors, and Georgette in The Wild Women of Planet Wongo. She also recently filmed a commercial campaign for Mike’s Hard Lemonade. She has two degrees from the University of Miami in Theatre Arts and Advertising. More at Enjoy the show!

Suzanne Nyhan
Suzanne is a graduate of The Players Workshop of Second City, The School at Steppenwolf and Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Her “day job” is producing specialized research in the field of Illinois workers’ compensation law. Her joy is her daughter, Kara, who is a college senior. Her insanity is having adopted 3 rambunctious rescue dogs! Mama’s Boy is Suzanne’s third production on the director’s side of the table. She assisted Jeff Casey with Cockeyed and Pageant Play and is looking forward to working on Towle’s upcoming comedy, The Smell of the Kill. As an actor, Suzanne’s favorite roles include 3 at the Towle: Shirley Valentine (Shirley); Good Boys and True (Elizabeth); and The Secrets of a Soccer Mom (Nancy). Other favorites include Lost in Yonkers (Bella); The Beauty Queen of Leenane (Maureen); Lend Me a Tenor (Maria Merelli); and Getting Out (Arlene).
