MEET THE CAST OF Mama’s Boy

Suzanne Nyhan (Marguerite Oswald)   Suzanne is a graduate of The Players Workshop of Second City, The School at Steppenwolf and Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Her “day job” is producing specialized research in the field of Illinois workers’ compensation law. Her joy is her daughter, Kara, who is a college senior. Her insanity is having adopted 3 rambunctious rescue dogs!  Mama’s Boy  is Suzanne’s third production on the director’s side of the table. She assisted Jeff Casey with  Cockeyed  and  Pageant Play  and is looking forward to working on Towle’s upcoming comedy,  The Smell of the Kill . As an actor, Suzanne’s favorite roles include 3 at the Towle:  Shirley Valentine  (Shirley);  Good Boys and True  (Elizabeth); and  The Secrets of a Soccer Mom  (Nancy). Other favorites include  Lost in Yonkers  (Bella);  The Beauty Queen of Leenane  (Maureen);  Lend Me a Tenor  (Maria Merelli); and  Getting Out  (Arlene).

Martin has also spent a large part of his career performing  Commedia Dell'Arte : he has served as Artistic Director of the  Panini Players  at Northwestern, Assistant Director of  At Your Service  at the Bristol Renaissance Faire and is currently the Associate Artistic/Education Director of  Laughing Stock Theatre  in Chicago.

Rosie O’Leary (Marina Oswald)    Mama's Boy  marks Rosie's first show with Towle Theater and she is thrilled to be a part of this amazing cast and crew. Rosie lives on the north side of Chicago and most recently understudied at Strawdog Theatre in their production of  The Revolutionists . Rosie moved to Chicago two and half years ago after working on a year and half tour with the National Players based out of Olney, MD. Rosie received her BFA in Acting from Boston University. In Rosie's spare time she enjoys baking, riding her bike (when it's warm), and hosting wine and cheese soirees.

Film and Television credits include  Blood Moon River, House of Whores  (Horror Society Award – Best Actor)   and  Chicago Med  (NBC). A huge thank you to Jeff Casey for the opportunity!
