Khyel is very excited to be joining the Towle Theater for the first time. Being a Calumet City resident, the Towle Theater has always been on his radar of performance. In achieving a degree in Musical Theatre at Western Illinois University, Khyel has done shows at various theatres from Bloomfield Indiana, at The Shawnee Theatre (The Lion in The Wizard of Oz and Lucien in The Boys Next Door) to Springfield Illinois, at The Springfield Muni (Curtis Taylor Jr. in Dreamgirls and Benny in Rent).
Khyel is excited to be apart of this production and glad for the opportunity.
Zach Herbert (Norman)
Zach is stoked to be playing Norman in Towle Theater's production of Cockeyed! Zach has previously worked with The Agency Theater Collective, The Public House Theatre and has performed at Rhinofest and the ArciText Festival. In addition to acting, Zach plays drums in The Hecks and Softette and also co-writes and performs in a bi-monthly night of music and comedy called Sike Rock.
Kelsey Tuma (Sophia)
Kelsey is an actor, theater-creator, and general doodler based out of Chicago. She is thrilled to be making her Towle Theater debut, and to delve into the wacky world of Cockeyed. A graduate of Chicago College of Performing Arts (CCPA) some of her past theater credits include: Frindle (Griffin Theatre Company), Hansel and Gretel (Piccolo Theater), Pippi: The Strongest Girl in the World (Fourth Gorgon Theatre), VR Sorry (Rhinofest), A Marriage Proposal (Merlyn Productions), Who Will Carry the Word (CCPA), As You Like It (CCPA), and Top Girls (CCPA). You can also catch her touring to schools with GreatWorks Theatre Company. Some past design credits include: Pippi: The Strongest Girl in the World (Fourth Gorgon Theatre) and Lolita De Lares (Urban Theatre Company).
Chris Lysy (VP Marley)
Chrisis proud to be making his Towle debut! Other Chicago area performances include The Invaders (Halcyon Theatre Co.), Tom Jones (Polarity Theatre Ensemble.), Enchanted April (Theatre-Hikes), Come Blow Your Horn (Oil Lamp Theater), La Ronde (Stage 773), Julius Caesar (Muse of Fire),and A Klingon Christmas Carol (Commedia Beauregard). He is a graduate of Act One Studio’s Conservatory program (2009) and of Virginia Tech’s Theatre Arts program (2007). He has also worked with the Great River Shakespeare Festival of Winona, MN in both Julius Caesar and Macbeth.
